Plasma at 2 Billion Degrees Kelvin

Scientists at Sandia Labs have produced plasmas that exceed 2 billion degrees Kelvin -- hotter than the interiors of stars. This technology could eventually lead towards smaller, safer, less costly nuclear fusion plants.
